Questions people ask
Do I need any technical skills?
No. If you can send an email with an attachment, you can do this.
Who owns the course and the money it earns?
You do. The course sits in your own Udemy account and Udemy pays you directly. I don't take a share of your sales.
Does Udemy accept courses made with AI tools?
Yes, with two conditions. The course description has to say that AI was used, and Udemy won't accept a course that is entirely AI-generated. Your course is built from your own teaching material, and I add the disclosure line for you.
Can the narration be in my own voice?
Yes. Send a 10-minute recording, sign a short consent note, and read one verification sentence when the voice tool asks for it. Your voice is used for your course only.
How do I set up my Udemy account?
A short video walks you through it, one screen at a time. You add your own payout and tax details, since only the account owner can do that.
How long does it take?
A Pilot Lesson usually takes 3 days. A Short Course takes about 2 weeks, and a Full Course about 4 weeks. Udemy's own review then takes a few working days.
What if I don't like the sample lesson?
Tell me what to change and I'll redo it. Nothing else gets made until you approve the sample.
Do we need video calls?
No. Everything happens in writing through Upwork messages, so you can reply whenever it suits you and keep a record of every decision.
