Suppressing our inner emotional truth — our vulnerable feelings and authentic self — deeper into unconsciousness makes life increasingly unbearable. External markers of success like wealth, recognition, or admiration become irrelevant.
The parts of ourselves we deny ultimately destroy us through addiction, self-harm, or emotional exhaustion. This represents a slow, gradual abandonment of living.
The antidote is not achievement. It is allowing yourself to be fully seen — first by yourself, then by others.
