On the way home, the road was blocked — a landslide across the path. I turned back.

In that moment I thought about luck, about practice, about the unseen forces that guide us past harm we never even knew was there. Some days the road closes not to block you, but to redirect you.

The practice is to remain observant: of the road, of the body, of the mind. Not with anxiety — with attention. Awareness creates options that inattention does not.
