The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love.

Only those comfortable with solitude can love genuinely — without fear, possessiveness, or dependence. Their happiness is self-generated, not contingent on another person. This means it cannot be taken away.

From this inner wholeness comes a desire to be together not out of need, but out of choice — a longing rather than a dependency. The relationship becomes a union of two complete individuals choosing to share joy.

Think of a musician who enjoys playing alone. When two such musicians meet, they can create harmony together. But if neither can play alone, there is no music — only noise and need.
