The question isn’t “should I do what I love?” The better question is: “How large is the problem this work solves?”
Work that solves problems for a single person draws one person’s support. Work that solves problems for a community draws a community’s support. Work that addresses something truly societal attracts resources, attention, and momentum at scale.
When I shifted from small household projects to developing motorcycle safety education for young people, the scope of support I received expanded dramatically. The passion was the same. The impact was different.
Find what you love — and then ask yourself how many people it can serve. Let that question shape the direction.
