#1: You don’t see the good that others have done for you.
When someone gives you their time, energy, or kindness — and you can’t see it, don’t feel it, or forget it almost instantly — that’s the clearest sign of ingratitude.
It’s not necessarily malicious. Often it’s just a habit of the mind: we focus on what we didn’t get, what went wrong, what was lacking — while the good quietly disappears from view.
Gratitude isn’t a personality trait you either have or don’t. It’s a practice. It requires you to slow down and actually look.
P.S.: And if you want to know whether someone else is ungrateful — it’s actually quite simple. If you think they’re ungrateful, they probably are 😄
